Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Lettuce leaves
- 1 onion, sliced
- Pickles (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Mayonnaise
Recipe:
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Season the patties with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- If you're adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun.
- Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles on top of the patty.
- Spread ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise on the top half of the bun, as desired.
- Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
